The 2011 Old Farmer's Almanac predicted above normal temperatures for late December, and below normal temperatures for early January with below normal precipitation. So, it should be no surprise that our snow is gone while the bone-chilling cold is here. Last year's apple harvest shivers, waiting, hoping, for a new cover of snow.
